Operations Manager, Fulfillment Location: Whittier, CA

Operations Manager Fulfillment role will be responsible for the development and leadership of a strong team ensuringhigh quality of work by maintaining accuracy and integrity of inventory; developing a schedule and priorities for picking goods and conduct order shipping inspections to ensure shipment accuracy within the ClientsFulfillment Center. This individual must be a process oriented leader who thrives within a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Major Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:

  • Leading a group of supervisors directly with a total base team of 50+ associates.
  • Assessing and training supervisors and associates in the selection, packing and shipping of orders.
  • Assessing performance and providing feedback to Senior Warehouse Operations Leadership.
  • Assisting in the selection and training of qualified associates. Partnering with the Director of OperationsFulfillment and Human Resource regarding reviews, interviewing, hiring, terminations, and corrective counseling within the Fulfillment Center.
  • Conduct order shipping inspections to ensure shipment accuracy.
  • Developing a schedule and priorities for picking goods.
  • Understanding and providing leadership support for safety and security within the Fulfillment Center.
  • Establishing and delivering on metrics to drive performance improvement.
  • Ensuring high quality of work and maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory.
  • Confirming all documentation requirements are correctly completed and retained.
  • Managing individual department objectives and coaching the associates to reach their respective department productivity and inventory accuracy goals.
  • Establishing and adjusting work procedures and shift schedules to meet deadlines as dictated by volume fluctuations.

Requirements:

Previous warehouse management is required; prefer 10 years experience with 5 years as a manager.

  • Knowledge and experience working on Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System, WM or PkMS, or equivalent.
  • Experience with radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI).
  • Strong written and verbal skill to communicate with all levels of the organization and executive excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong quantitative and critical problem solving skills.
