Role: Manufacturing Specialist Loc: Plymouth, MN Job Overview: The Manufacturing Specialist functions as a support for the Production Floor in pursuit of Operation Excellence by working to make and sustain change. This position assists in problem solving and troubleshooting manufacturing processes while teaming with QA and Engineering. This individual will create, train and implement Standard Work. This position helps drive Safety Committee actions to completion. This position reports to the Production Manager. Main Responsibilities: Helping develop new production techniques and develop/improve line layouts. Assists with troubleshooting manufacturing processes. Participate in Lean / Continuous Improvement activities. Acts as a liaison with the Engineering Department on system layout, design and manufacture. Reads and interprets electrical and mechanical blueprints, diagrams and schematics. Must be able to lay out and assemble machines based on drawings and detailed verbal instructions. Supports the Safety Committee and help drive safety related actions to completion. Participate in the CAPA process as required. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: An ideal candidate possesses a High School diploma, or two-year technical degree preferred. 3+ years of directly related on the job experience in a manufacturing environment. d Ability to work under minimal supervision. Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of the organization. Learns, understands and is able to implement and adhere to all policies, practices and procedures. Must have an understanding of Lean / Continuous Improvement concepts. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
