Role: Oracle EBS Application DBA Location: Omaha,NE Installs, upgrades and configures Oracle DB and Apps Tier tech stack components Patch, clone, and administer Oracle EBS R12.2 Application Environments. Proficient in new 12.2 application architecture, infrastructure and storage requirements Monitors, maintains and tunes database and technology stack for optimal performance Responds to and resolves applications reliability and performance issues Open, manage, escalate and resolve Oracle SRs with Oracle Support Performs clones of EBS instances and associated post-clone activities. Provide assistance to Fusion Middleware admin for resolving technical issues Analyze root cause of tech stack-related issues and provide solutions Provide proactive performance monitoring, and capacity planning Administer and maintain security policies and procedures Configure, maintain, and support printers in Oracle Applications and underlying operating system Support database and operating system requirements for custom code development and deployment Support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with Oracle Workflow and Oracle Approvals Management Engine including workflow mailer Configure, optimize, manage, and support Concurrent Managers, Concurrent Schedule, and Concurrent Jobs and Reports Evaluate new trends and technologies and provide best practices and recommendations. Projects will involve architecture, installation, upgrade and load balancing Qualifications The ideal candidate would have over 7 years experience in an Oracle EBS Application DBA role (including R12) and over 7 years experience with Oracle RDBMS Experience with Oracle Application Server A strong understanding of the R12 architecture and the various application tiers and database tier components, Concurrent Manager processing and troubleshooting processes Experience with new 12.2 technology stack including Fusion Middleware, WebLogic, and ODI is preferred Applications system administration and troubleshooting Experience in SQL tuning Customer service, time management and personal motivation is required Current Oracle R12 (R12.2 preferred) Applications DBA skills including upgrade, platform migrations, tuning, patching, and management of complex 247 environments Experience with cloning system test and development environments from Production Oracle Applications environment They should have hands-on architecture, installation, upgrade, production support and Discoverer (OBIEE Standard Edition) skills Adherence to processes and understanding the importance of documentation is required. Deploying Oracle Applications in the DMZ is a definite plus Supporting Oracle Applications Integration with Oracle SOA Suite is a definite plus The candidate should also have great oral and written communication skills due to a high level of interaction with customers Experience operating in UNIX and/or Linux environments and writing shell scripts Experience with hosted environments and specifically Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS formerly OOD) hosted environments
