Job description - The purpose of the Senior ETL Developer position is to design, develop, unit test, document, and perform ongoing support for the ETL and MS SQL products and code.
- Additionally, the Senior ETL Developer needs to understand ETL to and from common database and file formats.
- This person is expected to be a subject matter expert that other team members can use as a reference for business knowledge, ETL, SQL, data design, and programming.
- The Senior ETL Developer is expected to mentor and train ETL Developers on processes and tools.
- The Senior ETL Developer may also have supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities:- Creating detailed documentation of data warehouse, data stores, and ETL. (25%)
- Troubleshooting and correcting data and data processing errors in existing solutions (20%)
- Supervise and mentor ETL Developers (25%)
- Working with other technical teams as well as with internal and external users in order to develop technical designs (10%)
- Reviewing designs with the rest of the project team as appropriate (5%)
- Attending and contributing to architecture meetings to determine project scope, time frame and cost estimates (5%)
- Understanding the data warehouse and data mart models as well as being familiar with the business information contained in each (5%)
- Other duties as assigned 5%
Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree required, or equivalent education / work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in data and dimension modeling
- 3-5 years of experience in ETL development
- At least 3-5 years of experience with Informatica required
- Informatica B2B Tools
- Data Exchange (DX) or Batch Scheduling experience
- Data Transformation Studio (DT) or Object Oriented/Modular Programming with ability to read and interpret business logic from code
- Eclipse experience desired
- Informatica Power Center development experience
- Custom Transformation , Look up Transformation, Understanding of persistent cache usage
- Extensive Experience with SQL requiredExperience with Visual Studio required
