Description

  • CACI is looking for a SharePoint Developer ideally with Agile Scrum delivery skills to work on the RCAS Program in Reston, VA. CACI supports the program across a broad range of systems and software technologies.
  • The SharePoint Developer will work on a SharePoint development team to develop a SharePoint 2013 portal for the RCA program.
  • The candidate will assist in project planning and be responsible for establishing level of effort estimates for project deliverables and providing alternative solutions and technical expertise across a range of applications, systems and technologies.
  • They will also review input from analysts to determine if published products are posted in accordance with web guidelines.
  • They will also review published products for formatting and display errors and develop/perform necessary software modifications to address the problems(s).
  • They will manage website editorial activities while ensuring all goals and objectives of an initiative and the program are accomplished within contract terms and conditions.
  • ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day operational support including responding to incidents, troubleshooting, and executing corrective action within the SharePoint farm.Analyze SharePoint, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.Manage farm features and solutions.
  • Enable/Disable farm/site collection/sites features to satisfy customer requests/needs.Assist in-house customers in SharePoint Administration support, work instructions and documentation detailing best practices for SharePoint.
  • Administer security/permissions for rights to SharePoint Central AdministrationAdminister security/permissions for rights to SharePoint farm servers.
  • Monitor windows and application log files so it does not overload the server\'s storage capacity.Create and administer additional logging to provide additional diagnostic information, usage analysis data and information rights policy usage reportsMonitor timer SharePoint jobs, which are critical to SharePoint scheduled operations and will list in the hundreds.Work with Microsoft engineers to solve any issues pertaining to SharePoint 2007/2010/2013/Office 365 farms.
  • Monitor databases usage with collaboration of DBA team.Support for administration, troubleshooting, configuration, system security, installation, deployment, maintenance, and high availability design.Site creation, user training, ensuring proper backups and restores as necessary.Enforce SharePoint best practices and optimization.
  • Problem resolution may involve identification of complex system problems, restarting failing services, complete software reload, and/or system level file recovery.Interact with software vendors to reach problem resolution.
  • Documenting problem resolution steps and procedures.Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint based initiatives.
  • Establishing, recommending modifications to, and following approved escalation procedures.Environment knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012 Enterprise Server, SQL Server 2008 and 2012, and Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of claims authentication, Kerberos authentication and SharePoint 2013 multi-tenancy configurations.Minimum RequiredMust be a U.S. Citizen, with or eligible for a Government security clearance.
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline.5 years work experience developing SharePoint portals (Microsoft SharePoint 2013 & 2010) and related technologies.10 years overall experience in the IT field.Hands-on experience with Web/SharePoint architecture design, Site Branding & Navigation, Workflows, Reporting Services, Custom Lists, Web Parts, InfoPath, Business Connectivity Services (BCS), and Search configuration & refinement.
  • Knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET framework, and Visual Studio (Visual C#, Visual Basic).Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML).
  • Experience using Web Services in a SharePoint environment (i.e. connecting to third party web services to retrieve data).Experience working effectively in and fostering highly collaborative, team-oriented environments.
  • Understanding of web environments in large IT organizations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of information architecture principles and user-centered design principles.Knowledge of current best practices in web design, usability, and accessibility.
  • Ability to create and maintain articulate, structured technical documentation.
  • Strong organizations skills, must be able to prioritize and multi-task Proven communication skills; articulate and able to communicate with associates from different functional areas.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
