Job Description
- Strong Sybase Database Administration skills with focus on performance tuningAdvanced skills in BASIS administration of ABAP and Java stacks of various SAP modules including ECC 6.0, BW, BPC, Fiori, Solution Manager, Enterprise PortalMultiple full lifecycle implementations and production support roles in complex SAP landscapes.
- Experience with configuration, analysis, performance tuning and trouble shooting of both ABAP and Java stacks on Linux running on Sybase and Oracle databases.
- Experience managing and supporting multiple landscapes with experience in provisioning SAP applications, kernel patches, support packs, OSS notes, performing SAP System upgrades, EHP upgrades, support packs, Unicode conversions, system and client copies, system refreshes, backups and restores, security configurations and connectivity.
- Knowledge of SAP transports using CTS+, Integration with LDAP and SSO.Ability to write UNIX shell scripting to automate support for SAP, Sybase, Oracle, and UNIX.Be well versed in all the SAP tools needed to administer the various landscapes
- Experience in administration of SLT, BI 4.0 and BO Data Services
- Understanding of SAPs customizing toolset, including Implementation Management Guide (IMG).
- Solid understanding of set up and architecture of SAP in a VMWARE based virtualized environment.
- SAP OS/DB system migration certification and experience would be a plus.
- ITIL v3 process awareness is a big plus.Strong multi-tasking skills and abilities to handle changing priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend/lead development of solutions appropriate for our company
- Excellent oral/written communications, analytical, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills / Ability to effectively articulate and communicate the pros and cons of creating a SAP solution to solve a specific business need
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and with limited supervision7 to 10 Years of SAP Basis Experience.
