- Provides senior-level technical support for maintenance of complex database structures and associated enterprise applications. Manages database utilities, performance tuning, and backup and recovery procedures.
- Performs infrastructure improvements of production and development environments related to performance tuning and maintenance of databases.
- Researches, develops and recommends new database technology features for use in environment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves database issues related to access modes, access times, device allocation of databases and applications, and validation and organization of the environment.
- Researches, documents and resolves issues related to delivered or customized processes.
- Interacts with technical users to develop user requirements and testing.
- Assists functional and technical users with functional and technical testing in all environments; troubleshoots and resolves issues.
- Performs tests of application and database processes to ensure processes work accurately and meets technical user requirements.
- Develops technical documentation on database administration processes.
- Provides technical guidance to junior-level staff as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
- Requires a directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
- Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
