Primary Job Responsibilities
Internal Quality Systems
Develop, monitor and maintain internal Quality Management Systems
Implement system of identifying and addressing non-conformances
Work with other departments to set up new or revised processing parameters
Manage Packaging Processing Parameters (PPPs) specifications for finished products
Work with consumer affairs to investigate and resolve customer complaint issues
Develop and train associates in support of quality and pre-requisite programs to assure execution
Oversee and manage performance of Quality Assurance technicians and supervisors
FSMA Coordination
Utilize FDAâ??s HARPC process to assure proper controls
Utilize laboratories and outside resources to measure FSMA performance and ensure product safety
Participate in reassessment and validation activities
Supplier and Co-process Quality Management
Develop review systems to monitor supplier quality and identify non-conformance issues. Assist in the investigation and resolution of quality problems
Participate in the approval of new vendors & co-packers
On-going assessment of coprocess partners ability to perform
Communicate performance to appropriate personnel and work with co-packers to ensure product quality
Support vendor management efforts through facility audits and assessments
GFSI
Direct development of GFSI program for Lincoln operations
Work with documentation manager to develop programs to support GFSI requirements
Coordinate with all departments to assure full compliance across the spectrum of GFSI requirements
Regulatory Support
Participate in regulatory audits involving FDA, USDA and State agencies. Ensure regulatory compliance by addressing and correcting potential issues.

Skills and Technical Expertise:
Bachelors degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Food Microbiology or similar field preferred
Eight plus years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment with either USDA or FDA regulated industries
HACCP certification required
Ability to achieve SQF Practitioner status.
