Product Manager Location: Seattle, WA Position Overview & Purpose: Client is building a team of exceptionally talented people dedicated to making a difference in advancing patient care. Currently, we are searching for a Sr. Product Manager to join our Marketing Team who is passionate about successfully developing, improving and marketing our products. The right individual will join a dynamic and fast-paced start-up environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, implement and roll-out products that deliver on the companyâ??s vision. Under the purview of the Director of Strategic Marketing, the Product Managerâ??s role works in partnership with Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing and Customer Experience. This individual will analyze product performance to ensure it meets customer needs and may recommend upgrades or improvements and plan new development programs. The Product Manager will be responsible for coordinating projects and collaborating with the necessary stakeholders on existing and new products/features as they pertain to the development of marketing materials, user instructions, and other product-related collateral. This individual will also be the Marketing liaison to the Engineering team and work on a day-to-day basis with developers to ensure clients products meet marketing and financial objectives, including generating product requirements, determining specifications, and reviewing and creating timetables and time-sensitive product development plans. Core Job Functions & Responsibilities: Continually assesses market landscape and competitive positioning. Gains a deep understanding of customer experience and product performance to identify gaps and generate new ideas to continually improve diagnostic functioning and customer experience. Translates product strategy and recommends the nature and scope of present and future product features by generating marketing requirements and reviewing detailed product specifications and requirements; participates in the process of new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes. Brings new products to market by assisting in the development and review of proposed product requirements and product development programs; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing. Works closely on a daily basis with the Engineering team (including participating in product development and engineering update meetings) to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources. Scopes and prioritizes activities based on business and customer impact. Prepares for market introduction of new products and features by developing time-integrated plans with sales & marketing, development, and production. Creates or assists in the development of user guides and product manuals. Manages localization and translation efforts of current products and related materials (e.g., instructions, reports, marketing materials, software, etc.), including working closely with translation vendors. Works closely with Quality Assurance / Regulatory Affairs team to ensure all product-related materials are accurately documented and released through the internal review process. Contributes to Marketing team effort by accomplishing any additional related tasks as needed. Required Experience & Skills: 7+ years work experience, both device and software, in a Medical Device or Diagnostic Services product management role MS/BS degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent experience in healthcare/medical device product management Strong understanding of the customer experience based on workflows and their information needs to deliver highly successful products, services and product marketing campaigns. Proven work experience in the product development from a marketing perspective (e.g., definition of requirements & functional specifications) including competitive analysis and the ability to effectively communicate recommendations. Success in start-up or small company environments required including experience working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrixed organization. Experience working very closely with engineering teams on product development and QA/RA to ensure all product-related materials are accurately documented. Successful product launch and life cycle management experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate solutions and decisions with little guidance. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills Experience training variety of audiences as well as creating user guides and product manuals Strong work ethic demonstrated in fast-paced, self-managed environments Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite PowerPoint, Visio and Microsoft Project Cardiac Monitoring, Cardiology or Electrophysiology industry work experience preferred
