Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrate a passion for quality, acting as a role model for others and setting high levels of productivity, quality and producing results that meet or exceed expectations. Develop and help implement suggestions to improve workflows and resolve issues Read situations involving people quickly and accurately. Recognize conflict and look for a common ground that fosters cooperation with minimal disruption. Foster cooperation and team Work by partnering with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Business Participants and Developer to provide the highest-level quality applications within agreed to delivery dates. Provide timely and accurate status reports to Project Manager and Quality Assurance Manager. Applying quality principles and concepts; translate business requirements and design document into test scripts or fine tune pre-existing scripts. Review Business requirements to ensure testability, participate in Final Requirements Review meetings. Follow established test protocol management techniques. Coordinate business acceptance testing with business partner to ensure thorough, accurate and timely testing Create timely, accurate, and thorough test plans which meet or exceed the expectations as measured through peer and management review Assist lesser experienced analysts and Developers to resolve test execution issues. Utilize Quality Center for defect management as defined (severity, priority, closure); resulting in defect feedback to appropriate party in complete and timely manner. Present accurate Level 2 estimates which are measured at the completion of a project. Define test data requirements and participate in the data set-up. Create the Quality Center Test Lab for project. Build and maintain existing regression test bed: review for testability Continuously demonstrate the pursuit of knowledge of systems, the architecture, products, and industry by reading periodicals, attending job shadowing, watching videos and attending classes/seminars. Attend internal training classes for all service departments to improve understanding of the overall business operation. Within 12 months of joining the team, acquire the certificate of completion for Certified Software Tester (CSTE) by way of Crump Learning Center. The certificate indicates a professional level of competence in the principles and practices of software testing in the IT profession. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
