Job Title : Sr. BigData Consultant with strong Java and Spark experience Duration : 6 months + Location : Pasadena or Menlo Park,CA Job Description: Looking for a Sr. Big Data resource who has * Solid understanding of MapReduce, Pig, Hive and Hadoop eco-system. An in-memory database (IMDB; also main memory database system or MMDB or memory resident database) and Spark, Kafka and Storm Experience!! * Strong experience building complex data pipelines. * Experience with High performance computing, in-memory DB, caching optimization, compression techniques, cluster management, etc * Solid in at-least one compiled and interpreted language. Prefer Java and Python. * Expertise in key-value stores like HBase/Cassandra, Redis, Riak. * Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions * Ability to juggle multiple projects without losing focus. * Strong communication skills(verbal and written). * Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of experience.
