About This Role:
As a Senior Systems & Applications Architect, you will use your expertise and experience in the areas and activities described below to deliver solutions and services.
The candidate is expected to have a self-motivating personality and strong work ethic.
The candidate must demonstrate a deep knowledge of Linux, storage, and cloud services and be security focused.

Responsibilities :
  • Design and define system architecture for new or existing systems. Review and assess existing enterprise applications to support new features, performance improvements, upgrades, and ongoing sustainment.
  • Develop technical road maps for future implementations.Develop business case analysis on potential projects.Analyze large, complex systems, focusing on server, storage, virtualization, and network infrastructure, to determine performance bottlenecks, application bugs, and opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Determine system specifications and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.Implement and operate diagnostics and monitoring tools to understand, assess, and modify system behavior and performance.
  • identify areas of instability and deviations from best practices with components supporting enterprise applications.
  • Participate in performance, load, and stress testing and remediation of issues identified.Participate in security architecture reviews of enterprise systems.
  • Participate in efforts to develop new systems and upgrades and updates to existing systems, throughout the entire application life cycle: requirements analysis and definition, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Be mindful of security in all facets of design and execution.QualificationsAt least 10-plus years of experience in the field.
  • Expert in Linux administration, RHEL, and CentOS certification preferred.AWS cloud administration (EC2, S3, VPC, RedShift, RDS, SNS, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, etc.).
  • Hybrid cloud/SaaS/PaaS/IaaS solutions and implementations.VMware/ESX administration.server and hardware administration.SSL Cert and DNS administration.
  • Monitoring systems and custom alerting escalation administration.Splunk Cluster administration and Backup administration.
  • Strong administration; NetApp experience is preferred.Familiarity with the following:LAMP (Linux, Apache, MyQL, PHP); NGINX; Glassfish; ActiveMQ; Java; and Tomcat technologies.Interwoven technology: TeamSite CMS, MediaBin, LiveSite, Open Deploy.Cloudera, Hadoop/Koverse (big data solutions).
  • Oracle database and products.Oracle Endeca technologies.
  • Agile methodology and PMI frameworks.Strong in Linux scripting and automation.In-depth understanding of high availability, load balancing, and fault-tolerant designs and solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity solutions, and cybersecurity concepts.Experience with ITIL V3 framework, SOA principles, and enterprise architecture and web services concepts.
  • Excellent in technical documentation.Experience with enterprise modeling application (Sparx systems) administration for GDPR initiatives.
  • Succeeds in complicated technical situations.Thrives in high-energy/fast-paced environments and projects.
  • Ability to work effectively and build relationships with team members, personnel in other departments at company, and external consultants and vendors.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Has the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and drives to deliver on time.
  • Willingness to learn to work with the tools and solutions selected by the team.Insatiable curiosity to understand, improve, and innovate.
  • Possesses the ability to problem solve and commit to quality even when dealing with unfamiliar technologies.Willing to be on call, work occasional weekends and nontraditional hours, and travel when needed.
