Role:Service Now Specialist Location:Dallas, TX looking for a ServiceNow Specialist who has experience implementing ITIL processes and can help design best practice solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The Specialist would work within a small development team that will manage the backlog, prioritize stories and develop enhancements/defects. The Specialist must have a good understanding of process design, business requirements and can define technical requirements. This person should be a self-starter who is looking to work on the latest modules/technologies in the ServiceNow platform. Primary Duties And Responsibilities Deliver effective and timely solutions to OCC users through the application of business rules, client scripts, UI policies and configuration of forms and workflows Building, configuring and supporting integrations between ServiceNow and other internal and external applications using SOAP/REST Applying Agile development principles and attend daily standup, sprint planning and backlog grooming meetings with business partners Partner with the various departments to define and document process, strive for operational excellence and translate business problems to solutions Define and document processes, capture functional requirements, assess technology solutions, generate use cases, create functional designs, document training plans, analyze data migration needs Should be able to support development of variety of applications: Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Portal & UI development, Asset Management, Service Catalog, Project Portfolio Management & Security Operations Qualifications Track record of having implemented, enhanced and supported an enterprise-class technology system, including planning, analysis and design, configuration, development, data migrations, system testing, cutover planning, and production support Excellent understanding of IT business processes Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to multi-task and work with management to prioritize tasks Good troubleshooting skills with the ability to assist in determining root cause of problems, offer recommendations or suggestions for a quick, but effective, resolution Demonstrate strong confidence in abilities and knowledge Technical Skills JavaScript development for administrating platform and development Relational Database Management / SQL knowledge Good knowledge of out-of-the-box ServiceNow modules Good knowledge of ServiceNow platform features AngularJS Front End design. Knowledge of ServiceNow Service Portal is a big plus. Experience defining controls for COBIT/NIST Framework Education And/or Experience Bachelors degree in MIS or related field. 3-5 years equivalent work experience. 2+ years experience in ServiceNow with proficiency in JavaScript programming, debugging, testing and web services (REST or SOAP)
