The Oracle Administrator will have responsibility for installing, creating, deploying, optimizing, maintaining, and supporting Oracle CRM and BI Applications and Databases. Provide optimal Integration support between various Oracle and non Oracle Applications using Oracle SOA suite / Fusion middleware and administer SOA. Provide DBA support for all Oracle Enterprise Applications related projects. Perform high end performance tuning for optimal apps and database performance, backup and recovery, clone applications and databases as required. Ensure regular operation and availability of databases and applications as implemented to support our clients business tools. Identify and resolve specific problems in the use and performance of systems. Good understanding of the business use of the application modules, underlying work flows, jobs are highly required. This position may also act as Technical Project Lead. This position may be required to provide off hour support
Responsibilities:
Implement, support and administer Oracle Databases, CRM, and BI solutions and other Oracle database based applications for optimal performance that supports our clients business.
Establishes physical database parameters to ensure optimal database and application performance.
Maintain Instance strategy for all enterprise business systems through their development cycle.
As a senior member of the team, mentor and provide technical and administrative guidance to the other DBA team members as needed.
Resolve day to day application operation issues and problems by self or software vendor support.
Works in accordance with the change control procedures and ensures compliance of change control and any other IS procedure or work instruction that ensures compliance to IS policy and ISO. Establish and recommend policies on system use and services.
Perform critical Patch management, Customization and Configuration management and administrations of all Oracle e-business suite application and databases.
Performance monitoring and Capacity Planning, develop recommendations and provide documentations for process improvements.
Provide emergency after hours support for mission critical apps as required. Perform upgrades / maintenance after hours as required.
Provides records and data on specific performance/availability concerns as basis for problem identification/resolution and management reporting.
Maintains user security and overall application and database data integrity, knowledge of SSL deployment and support in an Oracle Application environment.
Participates in technical team meetings and provide updates to the world wide team as needed.
Uses helpdesk software to manage support cases assigned.
Tracks all time in accordance with IS policy.
Provides regular status reporting (verbal and written).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology, or a related field required.
5+ years hands-on experience and in depth knowledge of Oracle BI (Siebel CRM & Hyperion) and underlying modules administration on any Unix environment (HP-UX or Linux environment preferred), 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience and in-depth understanding of Oracle Databases.
Oracle 10gAs, Oracle Middleware and integration (SOA Fusion middleware and BPEL) knowledge desirable.
A solid understanding of an operating system; understands paging swapping, inter-process communications, device drivers, file system concepts and can use performance analysis to tune systems.
Ability to program in an administrative language (Perl, Unix shell, etc).
Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.
Independent problem-solving, self-direction.
Oracle Database Administration ( version 9i, 10g, 10g RAC and above ) experience.
Oracle Applications and Database Performance Tuning experience.
Capacity planning, Performance Tuning and Backup and Recovery experience.
Hyperion BI tools administrator experience desired
OEM and Grid Control tools experience.
Experience in Supporting Oracle Apps and Databases in a RAC or HAT cluster environment with load balancers experience.
