Desired Skills and Experience
- Design and develop web applications using PHP Software build management and deployment Create and run ad hoc reports written in SQL and iterating through large datasets in PHP Tune database (indexes and schema organization)
- Aid in crafting an in-progress Redis caching layer Implement new features and maintain existing codebase Follow and enforce coding standards and best practices (PSR-1)
- Bachelor\'s Degree or 3-5 years of Object Oriented programming experience in PHP Experience designing, coding and consuming Restful APIs Understanding of design patterns
- Experience working with an MVC framework (Zend, Symfony, Yii, CodeIgniter)
- Experience offloading large SQL queries (data processing, grouping, sorting, joins, inner selects) to PHP code
- Experience with caching, particularly with in-memory key/value storage Experience with Git version control Strong Linux skills
- Experience with deployment tools (Capistrano)Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Experience working with a production environment with zero or very minimal downtime
- Excellent communication skillsSteel trap for memoryMust have ownership!
