Role: BI Developer Loc: Valencia, CA ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with business users. Design, develop, optimize, maintain and support ETL processes using Stored Procedures and Microsoft SSIS Architect BI solutions (Star Schema Data Models, OLAP cubes, ETL, Reporting and Delivery) Conduct research and make recommendations on BI products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. Direct, organize, and lead projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems. Lead the integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications. Design, code, test, and document new or modified BI systems, applications, and programs. Design, develop, optimize, maintain and support operational databases required for BI applications Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions. Work with business to define user requirements for web systems, dashboards and reports. Review database architectures and designs to ensure compliance with corporate objectives for data integrity, quality, performance, management, scalability, reliability, and security Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for BI front-end applications. Troubleshoot BI tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary. Act as evangelist for BI benefits across the organization; promote BI usage to relevant departments. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficiency required in SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Microsoft Excel At least 12 years of experience with SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Microsoft Excel Expert-level proficiency with analytics development using tools like PowerPivot, PerformancePoint, Power View and Excel Services Advanced knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write complex stored procedures, analytic / windowing functions, and performance tuning Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling. Understanding of Business Intelligence patterns (standard data modelling approaches, OLAP platforms, approaches to data presentation and consumption) Must have working knowledge of MDX (OLAP) and SSAS cube development and maintenance Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build front-end BI applications according to specifications. Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. SharePoint (2007/2013), PerformancePoint Experience with Data Profiling Tools Experience with Data Modeling concepts Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements.
