Major Duties/Responsibilities Responsible to ensure availability and performance for GM application. Responsible to develop and maintain service continuity, availability, capacity and disaster recovery plans. Ensure applications and systems are in compliance to GM IT security policies and practices. Participate as a team member to ensure operational readiness of new system deployments or system enhancements. Work with the GM IT Plan and Build organizations (Innovation) on various initiatives (i.e. future strategies, application retirements / consolidations, development life cycle, financial estimates, etc). Identify actions and improvements to reduce the costs associated with sustain operations Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Has knowledge of practices and procedures within a particular field. Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, JAVA. Experience with Oracle Business Solutions (Siebel CRM, Knowledge Management, Customer Data Management) Excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to take highly technical discussions to the appropriate level to drive decision-making. Ability to work with multiple IT Teams to set and manage priorities and resolve issues. Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others Education/Training Degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience required. ITILv3 certification preferred Experience Minimum 5 years\' experience in the IT field Experience with VMWare, WebLogic, iPlanet Web Server, Single Sign-On, LDAP Experience with Oracle Business Solution products - Siebel CRM, Business Analytics, and Knowledge Management.
