Description:

A person holding this position uses his or her knowledge of web coding standards, user interface design, information architecture, usability and accessibility to develop and support web environments and perform project task assignments. Working alone, on project teams or with the assistance of web developers, DBAs, system administrators, business analysts and/or other system analysts, this person designs, codes, documents, tests, and debugs web environments.

A successful candidate should have the following:
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skill in the design, coding, documentation, testing, and debugging of web environments (web sites and web applications); web content management systems, and search appliances.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skill in the use of one or more programming and scripting languages utilized in web environments (PHP, SQL, JavaScript); document object model (DOM); and HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML and XSLT schemas.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skill in the design, coding, documentation, testing, and debugging of web environments (web sites and web applications); web content management systems, and search appliances.
• Intermediate knowledge and skill in the use of client-server operating systems, including directory structures, file management procedures, and utilities.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of relational databases and of relational database management systems (MySQL and Oracle).
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skill in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL) for data retrieval, data manipulation, and the creation and modification of database objects.
• Basic competency with standard desktop applications such as Internet software, spreadsheets, word processing, email, etc.

And be able to:
• Apply intermediate to advanced knowledge of multiple programming frameworks, including CodeIgniter, Cake, Dwoo, jQuery.
• Apply intermediate to advanced knowledge for developing responsive design user interfaces.
• Apply intermediate to advanced knowledge of ADA 508 accessibility requirements.
• Apply intermediate to advanced knowledge for supporting web content management systems (e.g., ExpressionEngine, WordPress, Drupal).
• Apply intermediate to advanced knowledge for integrating external data sources within web applications.
Required Qualifications:

BA, BS or university program certificate; and five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications:

BA, BS or university program certificate; and seven years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
