Role:IT Business Analyst - JDE/Finance Location:Walnut Creek, CA The Business Analyst will have an in-depth knowledge of subject matter surrounding current and evolving application solutions, industry standards, best practices, root cause analysis, oportunities, and training. The Business Analyst will also work with cross-functional project teams consisting of technical and business unit team members and should have professional level service skills including an ability to communicate, negotiate, and implement processes for the applications and modules that they manage. Resource development 5% Business requirements Meet with Business Analysts and clients to define system requirements. Document and confirm system requrements. Analysis & design Analyze and dcument existing systems. Prepare high-level models of proposed solutions. Develop detailed specifications and functional requirements. Solution developement Develop work plans, goals and objectives, and evaluate project progress in relation to programming activities. Manage, maintain, and monitor project plans, timelines, and testing. Conduct integration and system testing. Solution implementation Maintain supporting documentation. Manage the promotion of applications from development through production. Train both technical resources and clients in use of system. Support and maintain systems. Quality assurance Define development standards. Ensure system integrity and security. Maintain quality measures. Track project status. Perform and enhacne change control functions. Resource development Read professional publications. Discuss and share technical information with users and IT staff. Evaluate new technology. Pursue continuing education. Education/Experience: (Preferred but not required) Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems. Specific courses in programming language, system analysis, software design. Minimum of ten years\' experience in information technology. Skills/Knowledge/Ability: Expert with JD Edwards 9.x. Skilled in Project Management and SDLC methodology. Effectively use interpersonal and communications skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Superior competence in analytical techniques and the ability to work independently with clients. Efficiently meeting deadlines, schedules, and target dates.
