Job description:
  • Company is a full-service consulting firm offering planning, engineering and program management services.
  • Company has grown from its humble beginnings as a small Houston firm to a national leader in the heavy civil infrastructure engineering industry.
  • A division of LEO A DALY, an international architecture/engineering firm, company has access to the expertise of nearly 800 professionals in 31 offices across the country.
  • The candidate will be involved in implementation of Municipal, Utilities and Public Works projects. Projects include system analyses and master planning along with water quality modeling and hydraulic computer modeling (i.e. WATERGEMS, info water and EPA NET), system evaluations and studies and report writing.
  • Duties will include preparation of studies, plans and specifications for various types of projects with primary emphasis in facilities associated with water supply.
  • Candidate must have proven ability to work with other engineering disciplines to successfully achieve the project outcome.Candidates will also be working in the City of Houston offices in downtown Houston.
  • There will be heavy client interaction as the liaison on a daily basis.

Responsibilities :
  • Implementing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) and closely monitoring project costs.
  • Candidate will be expected to assist with mentoring and training staff engineers with lesser experience.
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET UniversityProfessional Engineer (PE) in State of TexasAbility to travel for short term assignments (1 week)4+ years engineering experience.
  • Background in municipal systemsInfrastructure Master PlanningHydraulic modeling (Water Conveyance for Municipal clients, not industrial)Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation is a plusKnowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) is a plusKnowledge of Bentley ProjectWise is a plusPresentation skills are a plus.
