Takes active participation in design reviews, design releases, design changes and the development of Cushioned Platform systems. Determines and follows quality and safety requirements, from a product design perspective, in accordance with company needs, based on current standards and Best Design Practices. Uses Best Design Practices in new product development, in order to meet customer, program management, quality and sales objectives. Performs other tasks as assigned by Engineering Management. Qualifications Has an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and a minimum 3-5 years of aerospace mechanical design experience. Is fully adept in mechanical design, and is fluent in AutoCAD Inventor and Finite Element Analysis. Able to act as a technical resource to other departments. Fully understands bill of material, configuration management and engineering master generation and maintenance. Reads, understands and discusses technical requirements, articles, plans, drawings, etc. Generates and prepares technical plans and reports as required, Understands engineering drawing generation and configuration management.
