Job Description:

Mechanical Engineer - creating mechanical assemblies, 3D models and detailed drawings of Switchgear components and assemblies. Support manufacturing plant on engineering issues as required.

Essential Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer Need to perform the following.

• Design switchgear components, sub-assemblies, parts and assembly/part drawings using Creo Parametric software.  Create comprehensive bills of materials for parts/assemblies in Windchill, as required for transferal to SAP for manufacturing implementation.
  
• Submit design packages for review and release through the Windchill Change Management process.
  
• Troubleshoot and address issues during manufacturing/assembly. 
  
• Independently perform most design assignments.
  
• Ensure expected results in terms of quality, execution time, cost (within control) and safety.
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  
• Knowledge of switchgear design and construction.
  
• Experience in 3D CAD tools, i.e. Creo Parametric (Sheetmetal) and Windchill.
  
• Solid PC skills; including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PPT)
  

Desired Characteristics

• Prior experience as a Mechanical Engineer in Switchgear industry with projects successfully completed.
  
• Standards as IEEE or NEMA
