Job description:

Position Title: Robotics Design to Cost Mechanical Engineer Main

Responsibilities:

• Focused on DFM (design for manufacturability) and manufacturing based cost estimatingProvide support to engineering in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
• Perform prototype and production cost and manufacturability analysis of R&D concepts, designs, engineering prototype assemblies and components including production tooling.
• Develop, implement and execute design qualification tests for pre-production of complex electro-mechanical sub-systems and systems.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause failure analysis on mechanical subsystems and components.
• Drive programs to develop supplier and/ or in-house manufacturing processes, quality systems, continuous improvement systems to achieve problem resolution.
• Coordinate with design engineering to improve the design concept, simplify manufacturability and improve cost effectiveness.Develop test procedures, test equipment and data collection methods for Advanced Packaging and wire bonder equipment production.Establish test system and standards for the new product (complete system, modules and critical components).
