Job Description

Distribution

MAJOR FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Storage and organization of daily shipping photos for central access
  • Maintains vehicle maintenance records ensuring that all vehicles are functioning and serviced timely
  • Helps to manage facilities maintenance and safety of overall facility
  • Assists with daily shipping batches
  • Inventory
  • Support globally for inventory physical count processes
  • Coordinator and support for chip destruction at Blue Springs facility
  • Preparation of purchase orders for GPI USA with supporting GPI ASIA
  • Provide support to follow up calls to check status of materials to ensure timeliness
  • Support purchasing team as another source for questions and requests from sales
  • Research and quote requests with suppliers to ensure best pricing and timely materials
  • Global Supply Support
  • Quarterly physical count support for Las Vegas, Mexico, Blue Springs and Arizona
  • Provide research on items for inventory reviews as assigned
  • Additional Essential Duties & Functions
  • Assists with facilities maintenance and safety of overall facility
  • Ability to interact closely with various levels of management, including senior management, department personnel, related Company staff members and external business partners
  • Attends training sessions as required
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education/ Work Experience/Certifications)

  • Strong knowledge of administrative concepts, practices and procedures
  • Ability to operate various computerized shipping applications
  • Hands on, energetic and motivated self-starter
  • Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment
  • Professional demeanor; team player orientation.
  • Ability to interface with internal and external parties at all levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in the following software packages: MS Word, MS Excel, MAS200 preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience - preferred
  • 3+ yrs experience in logistics/freight operations in a manufacturing environment - preferred
