Job Description

  • The Director of Information Technology will provide technology vision and leadership and oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, performance, availability, and recover ability of Company??s core information systems.
  • This function??s primary focus is to create a competitive advantage and drive improvements in company performance and profitability by ensuring that the Company??s information technology delivers high quality solutions, timely and efficiently, to support the current and ongoing technology requirements of the Company??s business units.
  • A crucial skill will be the ability to anticipate future needs and proactively identify solutions based on the company??s strategic direction.
  • This individual will be a key contributor to the management team and have the ability to materially impact the Company??s growth and performance through successful execution of their responsibilities.
  • Develop, in conjunction with the executive leadership team, both a near term tactical plan to better utilize and integrate existing applications/systems and a long term strategic road map for investment in technologies which will provide increased leverage and scale to the business.
  • Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization. This will include negotiating contracts and providing ROI analysis to support purchasing decisions.
  • Provide an assessment of the technical and business fitness of the current application portfolio and their associated costs and risks.
  • Lead the application strategy and governance processes to gain consensus on a prioritized set of measurable business outcomes that applications must support.
  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the company as related to the core network and systems.
  • Manage and administer Practice Management, HRIS, and Business Intelligence platforms and solutions; including vendor management, initial application deployment, data integration, support, and ongoing maintenance and customization..
  • Develop and manage IT budget associated with core systems maintenance and implementation.
  • Ensure structured change control through the change management process.
  • Manage day-to-day activities in support of Network, Backup, Security, Telecom, and Desktop platforms.
  • Develop and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities meet the needs of the business.
  • Work closely with business unit leaders to ensure infrastructure service, support, and projects meet current business needs, strategies and goals.
  • Ensure compliance of the IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures with appropriate regulations (e.g., HIPAA-HITECH).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to provide operational efficiencies and cost reductions.
Required Skills

  • Bachelor??s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
  • 10 years of relevant professional experience, with a focus on enterprise application selection and implementation, software integration, data management and governance, business process analysis and business intelligence solutions.
  • In addition, candidate, should have operational experience managing network infrastructure, remote office installation and monitoring of security, network access and telephony solutions.
  • Multi-location healthcare service experience is desired with a proven history of fostering communication and collaboration.
  • The ideal candidate has a track record of demonstrating the ability to understand business needs and align technology strategy to fulfill those needs.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills; high level of organization, energy and enthusiasm
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative
  • Healthcare Industry experience desired
  • Experience with practice management and EMR platforms
  • A passion for deploying, maintaining, managing, and supporting software applications, network infrastructure, server and telephony environments within an organization
