Job description

Position Purpose:

  • As an Agile Delivery Manager (Product Coach), you will mentor Product Owners and Requirements Analysts in all aspects of Backlog Management, coaching to best practices of all levels of Release Planning and the evolution of backlog items.
  • You will help improve our delivery of services by mentoring Agile Requirements Analysts and a deep understanding of the basic principles of Agile and User Story writing are assumed.
Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Facilitate high level Business Process Mapping sessions with Business Partners and Stakeholders during the initial
  • Analysis and/or Discovery of project requests
  • Sets and continually manages expectations with the Requirements Analysts
  • Manages the team, to include the hiring, training, and supervision of staff. Meet with staff on a regular basis to and support their development.
  • Serve as a senior team member, responsible for facilitating the adoption and implementation User Story best practices
  • Provide high-touch and hands-on team guidance, support, and coaching in close cooperation and collaboration across
  • Product Owner and Requirements Analyst roles and functions, to facilitate increasing maturity of the processes at a sustainable pace
  • Perform ongoing assessments of the teams\' Scrum maturity
  • Partner with Requirements Analysts to identify and support opportunities to increase backlog health
  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure vision, roadmap and personas are well-defined and understood
  • Guide Requirements Analysts on improving business process mapping and user story writing techniquesCultivate Requirements Analyst Communities of PracticeOnboard staff
  • Identifies and resolves and/or escalates roadblocks, issues, and conflicts in a timely fashion
  • Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises team members and contractors and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their work
  • Conducts Performance Reviews for Requirements Analysts

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Agile Development methodologies to include Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban
  • Business Process and/or Story Mapping experience required
  • Experience with Backlog Management, User Story Writing, All levels of Release Planning
  • Expert practitioner of Agile Requirements and Scrum with 3+ years direct work experience as a Requirements Analyst or Product Owner
  • 2+ years experience coaching Scrum Teams and mentoring all roles with additional focus on Product Backlog and User Stories
  • Must understand Agile metrics and reporting techniques
  • Experience with Agile product and portfolio management
  • Experience using Scrum management tool(s), such as JIRA or Assembla.
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle (business process, requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and training)
  • Understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of User Stories
  • Product Owner Certification a plus
  • Scrum Master Certification preferred
  • Experience working both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to remain flexible during times of change and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly, efficiently and positively
  • Ability to persuade, encourage, motivate, and read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines, cultures, and locations
  • Ability to elicit cooperation and defuse tension with colleagues and partners
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under time constraints as necessary
  • Excellent verbal, written and relationship skills used to interact with a global group of technical and non-technical peopleAttention to detail is a must
