Responsibilities
- Become a grassroots member of a small and fast-growing, collaborative Agile development team to enhance existing systems and deliver a world-leading productDesign, develop, integrate and unit-test core and API functionality
- Participate in application architecture designUndertake code and design reviewsWrite high quality code and work closely with QA Engineers to ensure successful testingContribute to the ongoing improvement of the way we work
- Share knowledge and mentor others in areas of expertise Desired Skills and ExperienceSolid commercial development experience in Python/Django development
- Assured handling of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Mongo DB
- Working knowledge of server-side frameworks (emphasis on Django)
- Extensive scrum development methodology experience
- Experience with GITExperience of distributed systems development using message brokers such as RabbitMQ
- Experience in automated testing techniques and strategies.
- A technical BEng/BSc/BA degree in a Computing or Engineering based discipline is preferred but not required if you have substantial large-scale development experience.
- Jenkins.Atlassian Jira.Experience with Amazon Web ServicesFamiliar with NoSQL and Big Data technologies
- Strong communication and written skills in English.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Self-starter, with the ability to take initiative and work without detailed guidance.
- Experience working in a start-up environment would be beneficial
