Python Principal Engineer/Architect (Performance Automation)
Loc: Sunnyvale, CA
Responsibilities
- Help architect, develop, and implement a Python 3 automated test harness from the ground up which will facilitate scenario-based and system-level testing, including performance characterization.
- Develop analytics to help make the stress testing mentioned above actionable.
- Build the tools that QA testers and developers will use to automate both white-box and black-box data flow tests.
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated test suites into a continuous integration environment such as Jenkins.
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack - hardware, software, application, and network.
- Deep Python 3.x knowledge and extensive experience building core test harness functionality with it.
- 10+ years overall software engineering experience.
- A Commitment to Quality Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including written documentation.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Practical Experience with application and RDBMS performance testing.
- Experience with Cloud and Virtual deployments.
- Experience working across different environments (PHP, SQL).
- Experience working in an agile/scrum work environment.
