Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows 2012 R2 and 2008 R2 network with multiple types of servers and server applications.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient operation and inter connectivity of a Department of Defense
- Network and will execute the actions required to correct deficiencies or shortcomings and to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Responsible for testing and overseeing the management of Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory (AD) infrastructure in a mixed Windows and UNIX environment.
- Provide senior level knowledge and Tier 3 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 3 infrastructure, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support that builds, configures, and administers several hundred servers in their area of operation.
- Provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites and will orchestrate and oversee technical reviews, product research, and cost analysis of IT products, services, concepts, and ideas as directed.
- Basic Qualifications:Top Secret Clearance based on a SSBI completed within five years AND able to meet the requirements of DCID 6/4 Security + Certification
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering and Administration

- Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience Operate and maintain Multiple Virtualization Environments and Windows
- MS-based classified and unclassified data communication networks.
- Configure and maintain Windows 2012 R2 and 2008 R2 servers and Windows workstations.
- Provide technical expertise in Storage (SAN and NAS) and the associated network protocols (FC, FCoE).
- Additional Desirable Skills and Knowledge CISSP Certification MCSE or equivalent certification ITIL v3 Foundation Certification Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
