Skills: High school degree; BS or BA degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of combined I/S experience with SAP products, scripting languages, Microsoft Office products, relational databases, Windows Operating Systems, and/or direct computing support activities including knowledge of equipment, application software, and operating system software required.
Job Description:
Under general supervision, effectively and efficiently supports SAP financial modules. Participates in the design and implementation of new functionality and modification of existing configuration. Builds knowledge of the organization and processes. Solves a range of midlevel to difficult problems.
Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Provides basic SAP FI/CO functional support which includes fundamental business requirements analysis, system configuration, testing, training and documentation.
Assists more senior I/S staff in working with business partners to optimize processes and deliver/sustain processenabling SAPbased solutions.
Assists in creating new business processes and optimizing existing processes; participate in evaluating new and existing software solutions and making recommendations to business owners.
Assists in compiling and analyzing business requirements and preparing system functional specifications that will be used to develop technical specifications; assist in testing technical development output.
Provides basic support of SAP FI/CO configuration and structures which will entail fundamental business requirements analysis, system configuration, testing (using predeveloped test scripts), training and documentation.
Possesses project lifecycle skills; follow defined I/S project execution standards including: business process mapping notation and transformation, change control process, and software lifecycle. Participate as a team member on small and midsized projects.
Demonstrates capability to bridge gaps and work with different I/S disciplines (e.g. technical, functional, infrastructure).
Responsible for solving midlevel to difficult functional issues.
Expected to demonstrate midlevel project lifecycle skills.
Expected to follow defined I/S project execution standards including business process mapping notation and transformation, change control process and software lifecycle in the execution of small projects under general supervision.
Expected to continually expand scope of knowledge.
Required to provide 7x24 support under general supervision and support of senior team members. Requirements High school degree; BS or BA degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Excellent communication skills required to interact with internal and external contacts, as well as all levels of management.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of primary function/system for an area, understanding of both functional and technical knowledge, ability to diagnose problems and handle multiple problems simultaneously that may cross multiple departments/systems and impact numerous end users or areas of the business, ability to prioritize and work autonomously, ability to formulate new or better processes or ideas, establish effective working relationships and communicate appropriately according to level of understanding, and ability to lead and/or attend meetings to represent area. Ability to identify an issue, analyze and research the problem, and begin to formulate a solution and/or recommendation. Refinery business and operations knowledge preferred. Some travel may be required.
