- Responsibilities include database design and development using SQL Server technologies, writing T-SQL Code including Stored procedures, functions and triggers, developing SSIS packages.
- Database Maintenance, Backups, and Performance Monitoring and Development activities.
- Other activities include developing database structure; developing database utilization policies, procedures, security, in co-ordination with DBA.
- Perform platform upgrades and migrations; monitoring performance; and coordinating actions.
- Maintains data integrity using standards and monitoring techniques.
- Maintains database performance by developing tuning methodologies.
- Provides regular reports to Supervisors by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing database performance and trends.
- Maintain & help build Policies and Procedures
- Required BA/BS degree in computer systems design, computer science, or system engineering.
- Minimum of 5-8 years direct work experience with the SQL Server.
- Experience with designing Relational Databases.
- Strong experience in writing complex T-SQL code including Stored Procedures and functions
- Strong experience in SSIS Development in SQL Server 2012/2014 technologies.
- Strong experience in tuning and optimizing T-SQL code including Stored procedures, functions and SSIS Packages.
- Knowledge of Database encryption at column level.Knowledge of Tokenization Able to review the code written by other developers and suggest/optimize for the best performance, guide the development team to follow best practices.
- Possess knowledge in all aspects of the Database Administration.
- Experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability.
- Experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred Familiarity with third party tools like SQL Sentry, Cozy Roc Familiarity with Business Intelligence Products e.g. Cognos Innovative problem-solving skills with an aptitude to think out-of-the-box when investigating solutions
