Role: SAP Basis & Database Administrator
Location: Eden Prairie, MN
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES- This position will have complete responsibility for the technical stability of the environment in addition to providing project support in many facets.
- Key attributes of this candidate will be the ability to multi-task and to be an excellent team member with strong inter-personal and communication skills.
- Install SAP software, support packages, and upgrades as deemed appropriate
- Configure and maintain system environment modes and profiles
- Manage SAP instance and client strategy and provide change control of SAP database objects from development to test & production environments
- Provide SAP and database technical support to functional areas, configurations, & developers
- Monitor SAP environment and assist in troubleshooting
- Design, implement, and support SAP security profiles for end users
- Monitor database and table space growth, estimate growth and sizing requirements
- Perform basis administration including database reorganization & performance tuning
- Perform recovery of the database, data files, and tables
- Correspond with SAP Hotline & provide OSS operational support
- Define and maintain standard operating procedures specifically focused on SAP
- Administer system schedules (Backups, downtime, client copies, upgrades, etc.)
- Administer processing upgrade records, lock records, and ABAP/4 short dumps
- Support interfaces to non-ECC systems and to 3rd party tools
- Set up and administer SAP print services and queues
- Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries to the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations

JOB REQUIREMENTS- Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to analyze technical information
- Experience with the full project lifecycle and associated processes (requirements definition, design, development, test, train, deploy, support)
- Excellent communication and team skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage to tight timelines
- Positive, energetic attitude, and initiative;
- Strong work ethic Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs
- Ability to multi-task and manage several projects through completion at one time; while providing high attention to details
Minimum Education and Experience Required: - Bachelors degree in Information Technology or other related technical degree with a minimum of three (3) years SAP Basis administration experience including an SAP environment utilizing SQL Server 2008 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications: - Performance tuning experience
- Experience working in an environment with ECC 6.0 or higher
- Experience utilizing Solution Manager
- Experience working with SAP APO/SCM
- Experience with ABAP/Java dual stack environment
- Experience with integrating and supporting ECC with BW Special
