Position Overview
- Responsible for configuration, business process design and maintenance of the SAP APO (SNP & DP) environment.
- Analyze and evaluate existing and proposed systems and devise or modify process or configuration to solve business problems.
- Ensure integration of APO (SNP & DP) system with other technologies and systems.
- Work with ABAP and BI programmers and various technology and business specialists to provide solutions which are consistent with the MIS strategic direction and platform standards while meeting business requirements.
- Work closely on APO specific projects and tasks with key business and technical personnel, identifying and implementing automated or manual procedures or configuration changes.
- ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot problems, develop and implement solutions in Johnsonville SAP APO (SNP & DP) environment.
- Further extend the benefits of our APO environment by effectively understanding business requirements and modifying process or configuration accordingly.
- Serve as primary 24/7 support to end users and manage issue resolution related to the APO (SNP & DP) environment in compliance with established service level agreement.
- Resolve off-hours support issues, such as process chain failures or support ticketsMonitor and resolve any central interface (CIF) queue issuesPerform highly complex and demanding tasks dealing with the analysis, design, development and implementation of technical solutions relating to APO.
- Provide the necessary coordination and facilitate interactive design sessions with business process owners and functional leaders to drive continuous improvement.
- Define, document, and scope requirements for new configuration or development to meet changing business requirements.
- Assist project managers in defining, scheduling and budgeting tasksProvide guidance to the business and functional areas in developing tests, training plans and materials
- Complete detailed system design and write functional specs for development.Perform configuration changes and/or prepare design specifications for ABAP and BI programmers.
- Drive improved user productivity through developing and implementing new business process and innovative systems solutions.
- Proactively contribute to an overall IT strategy via direct experience in tactical projects and specific user requirements.
- Skills And Knowledge RequiredFamiliarity with ECC 6.0 architecture and proven understanding of ABAP, BASIS and database technologies.
- Detailed understanding of SAP APO (SNP & DP) solution (SCM 7.0).Proven skills in enterprise systems development.
- Proven capability and willingness to quickly acquire new technology skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the applied use of systems and process analysis tools.
- Full system life cycle experience, including development lifecycle methodologies.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
- Excellent technical writing and system documentation skills.
- Bachelors degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems OR college degree in a related field.
- General IT experience:Minimum 3 years IT experience, including systems development experience in the design and development of department-wide or enterprise-wide applications.
- SAP experience:Minimum 3 years systems experience with SAP APO.
- Experience in a 24/7 support environment preferred.
- Experience with APO PP/DS preferred, but not required.
- Clear ability and desire to adapt to changing work environments.
- Experience with at least one full life cycle implementations of SAP and experience in dynamic support environment.
- An analytical approach to problem-solving, coupled with the ability to conceptualize systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and configuration experience.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills; success in working on high impact cross-functional teams; strong decision making and problem solving skills.
