SQL Database Developer

Purpose and Objective

To support internal and external clients via processing and handling of data. To generate data solutions for ongoing immediate day to day business needs.

Essential Functions (Primary)

Day to day functions include the following:

• Import/Export data within SQL 2005/2008
• Ad hoc reporting on demand
• Maintenance of "do not call" lists (updating/exporting/importing) to meet compliance standards
• Maintenance of database including, but not limited to, replication/clustering checks, back-ups, disc space checks, monitoring of database, and nightly job processing
• Develop standard reports
• Understand and create T-SQL queries

Additional Functions (Secondary)

Candidates who cannot perform some of all of these duties because of disabilities will nevertheless receive full consideration for the job based on their ability to perform essential functions:

• Understanding and maintenance of security infrastructure and best practices
• Optimization recommendations
• Day to day troubleshooting
• Production report development/review
• Definition, documentation, and revision of processes
• Review code

Minimum Requirements

The following are required to perform the essential functions of the job:

Education/Experience

• BA, BS, or Masters in computer science/related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience derived from at least 2 years of professional work experience
• Solid experience with MS SQL Server 2005/2008 with clustering
• Microsoft Certified DBA a plus
