Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum of Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in Database Management.
Requires minimum of 5 years of strong database development knowledge including stored procedures, functions, DTS pkgs, SISS pkgs, triggers and error handling (SQL Server 2000, 2005 and/or SQL Server 2008/2012).
Practical knowledge of ETL/data loading in very large databases.
Database administration skills including backups, restores, troubleshooting and security management for Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 and/or 2008/2012.
Require experience in all phases of software development life cycle.
Required to work independently and in groups.
Required to have Pharma/biotech background experience with in vitro to in vivo data relationships a plusWork effectively in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.Should be good at creating and understanding database design, modeling and normalization.
Good knowledge of object-oriented concepts and a fair understanding of component based architecture and database systems.
Should be good in writing advanced SQL Queries and stored procedures, review and architect SQL Code for optimized performance, suggesting efficient Indexes on tables.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.Ability and comfort working in tight deadlines and at a very fast pace.Should be expert in SQL views/triggersShould be expert in Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) design and development using 2012/2008R2, T-SQL, DTS, SSIS, VB.NET & SSRS.
Hands on experience in managing Alerts and Jobs through SQL Server Agent.
Hands on experience to setup trace using SQL Profiler.Hands on experience in setting up various types of replication across multiple DB servers and good understanding on the compatibility of replication type Vs SQL version.
ELN, ELN-ERP communicationExperience in interacting with production support teams to help and address Tier1/Tier2 issues.
Hands on experience in using version control tools preferably Visual Source Safe 6.0 or TFS
Good knowledge of Backup, Security, Isolation Levels.Good communication and written skills.
