Business Intelligence Analyst Location: Richmond,VAMajor

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with marketing teams to identify reporting requirements and provide appropriate BI solutions using the Microsoft BI Stack (Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, Power BI) or TableauReplicate and automate existing marketing reports to improve productivity for end usersDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain all aspects of the new dashboard development processSupport strategic and operational decision making by processing and analyzing data and information and presenting it in the format most useful for analysis (e.g. reports, maps, and/or interactive graphics).

• Stays abreast of current trends pertaining to BI products/tools and provides input to new technology opportunities that will advance SMUS BI capabilities.Prepares and presents analytical insights and recommendations to stakeholders and managementServes as a training resource for all core BI needsTrains users to transform data into action-oriented information and ensures that the data is being analyzed and used correctly.Assists and maintains SharePoint analytical libraries as a reporting destination to consolidate Brand dashboards and facilitate cross-functional sharing of informationRecommends Tabular modeling revisions and develops new DAX formulas to improve overall BI efficiency and analytical capabilities.
• Requirements: Education:College Degree required in business, computer science, economics or marketingExperience:Candidate must understand basic CPG analytics and have experience in building reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Must have experience working with Microsoft BI stack (Pivot Tables and Power Pivot) and the DAX formula language.Skills:Strong ability to analyze and disseminate large amounts of data. Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of Power BI, optimizing complex DAX measures, SSAS, Visual Studios, Tabular Models and SharePoint. Knowledge of Tableau is a plus.
