The SAP Business Consultant will interact with the SAP Program team and functional unit process owners in order to identify, define, document and configure / process solutions in SAP. The ability to work in a fast paced team atmosphere effectively is critical. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Works with cross-functional groups in the program to identify and develop solutions to business issues and opportunities in their area of expertise. Identifies production system and process improvements using SAP solution manager as part of the change control process. Performs second level application support in the center of excellence (COE) acting in the roll to trouble shoot and configure SAP. Requires in depth knowledge of a specific areas in SAP in one or more of the modules for FICO, MM, PP, QM or SD. As required, provides daily support and troubleshooting to the user community on the use and best practices of the applications. Supports the development of training materials and documentation, as well as provides training sessions as required. Interfaces with external consultants for third level support as necessary to deliver service to the business. Defines functional / technical requirements for change requests and interfaces with the development team for completion. Supports SAP ECC upgrades and testing. Assists users with reporting and knowledge of BW and Business Objects and has a working knowledge of SAP standard reporting using Queries. Supports and helps develop power users in the business. Possesses the ability to organize activities, set priorities and handle multiple tasks. Support needed audit and compliance efforts. Requires BS degree in Computer Science or appropriate experience Effective communication skills: Oral, written and listening Problem management / resolution skills; organizational / project management skills; understands best practices for SAP and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members. Must have strong working knowledge of the SAP ECC (MM, PP, WM, SD, FiCO) business suite. Minimum of 5 years working experience in SAP with a least one full cycle implementation for a large enterprise. Experience in SAP systems using repetitive and discrete manufacturing in large organizations and systems. Aerospace and Defense knowledge a plus. Working knowledge of SAP configuration experience in the following areas required: SAP Solution Manager, SAP modules specific to team role, General Master Data Management Working knowledge in the following areas would be a plus: ARIS, HP QC, ASAP Methodology Strong leadership
