Role: Business Intelligence (BI) Developer SQL, SSIS, SSRS, .Net Location: Minneapolis,MN Responsibilities Work directly and indirectly with the Investment Management business throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) as an application developer to develop innovative Microsoft technology solutions using SQL Server, .Net, SSIS, SSRS, SharePoint, and Office. Solutions could be anything from a .Net Windows desktop application, an ETL job to insert data into our data mart, or a SSRS report for an end user. Develop new and support existing SSIS ETL which uses custom .Net scripts and controls. Develop new and support existing SSRS reports of quantitative and qualitative data produced both internally and externally to the company. Develop SQL scripts for both DML and DDL. Fulfilling ad hoc data requests using SQL queries as needed. Support end users directly when issues arise or help is requested. Monitor the daily batch jobs for errors and completeness. Track and report key metrics. Work closely with technology partners and vendors. Adhere to Ameriprise development policies and standards. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent. 3+ years of relevant experience required. Experience developing and supporting ETL solutions using SSIS that include custom scripts and controls. Familiarity with project deployment and SSISDB. Experience developing and supporting .Net Windows applications and SSIS custom controls. Experience using and developing for SQL Server or other relational database. Experience using SSRS report server and developing and supporting sophisticated reports that include parameters, sub reports, and report parts. Experience using and developing for Office. Experience using Git or other version control system. Experience working with XML, text, and Excel files. Quantitative skills required. Algebra and some statistics. Ability to calculate weighted average, standard deviation, etc. Strong analytic skills including ability to identify patterns, potential issues and then translate those into requirements. Familiarity and comfort working through all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC). Good communication and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Investment Management business knowledge and experience in both equity and fixed income, including derivatives. Asset Management investment systems experience (e.g., POINT, Bloomberg, security master, investment accounting, and trading systems). Experience using or designing a dimensional data warehouse. Experience using task scheduling software. Experience using SharePoint.
