Title: Cobol Online Programmer Location: Birmingham,AL Duration: 12 months+ We are in need of a Cobol Programmer for a long-term contract (1 year + ) with Web/Online Experience Application Cobol Programmer: Banking is a major plus SOA (service oriented architecture) CICS/MQ is a Major Plus DB2 (or some other type of databases SQL or Oracle) Process flows sit down and look at the processes that have been built and analyze how to improve this process Needs to look at what is happening in the process and determine how to improve Creating a lot of documents and then have them reviewed by management Take a generic outline and implement an updated document for developers to build from Candidate does not have to be local but needs to be onsite five days a week. In order of priority: Must Have: Strong verbal communication skills. Cobol/ DB2 programming experience is a must CICS/MQ is a Major Plus Understanding of both distributed and mainframe platforms Strong problem solving skills. Strong leadership skills (this is not a manager but I do need a leader). Strong Visio or similar visualization tool for process diagrams and architectural diagrams. Strong analytic skills specifically related to processing flows.
