Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Junior to Mid-level Hadoop Admin with applied Big Data experience using Hort on works Hadoop to contribute to the day to day development and operations of new applications, monitoring data flow through critical systems and helping coordinate cluster-wide services for operations, data governance and security using YARN.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A solid understanding of, business intelligence concepts like Big Data, Data Warehousing, and Master Data Management
- Minimum 4 years in database/big data design and development
- Minimum 2 years with regular hands on Hadoop development experience
- Experience with the following: HDFS, Hive, Spark, Oozie, PIG, Sqoop, and XML
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Understanding of principles of application and network performance monitoring
- Strong analytical, problem solving and modeling skills
- Experience integrating web service feeds into big data solutions
- Experience developing big data solutions in an agile environment as part of a Scrum team
