• The challenge We are looking for a highly motivated, technically inclined Hadoop engineer who can help our team deliver a world class Hadoop platform using products from the Apache stack.
• Cutting edge technology evaluation, proofs of concept, and rapid prototyping to compare similar technologies against each other, should excite you.
• All this, while ensuring high reliability and availability of this platform that we put together. What youâ??ll do Evaluate components of the Apache stack in the Hadoop ecosystem Think streaming, OLAP, and real time analytics Customize, integrate and debug modern big data technologies including Kafka, Spark, Flink, Kylin, NiFi, Presto etc.
• Troubleshoot platform stability and configuration issues Evangelize right tools from the big data space, with a wide variety of users, for use cases ranging from traditional ETL, to real time stream processing, to machine learning and more.
• What you need to succeed Hands on experience working on Hadoop for 3 years or more Deep understanding of internals of core Hadoop components - YARN, HDFS, and MapReduce Strong experience in designing, creating, packaging and integrating Java based projects.
• Good hands on knowledge of Python, Shell or any similar scripting language Strong computer science fundamentals Comfortable dealing with data access languages, including SQL Solid understanding of Linux operating system a plus, you will be immersed in an exceptional work environment that is recognized throughout the world on Best Companies lists.
