Job description

  • Has an outstanding opportunity for a talented IS Leader to lead a solutions team that will actively engage the business partners within the Supply Chain/Operations organization to align IS strategies and solutions to overall business strategies and needs.
  • The Business Solutions Manager will manage a team of functional leads and business analysts and is responsible to define business solutions architecture strategy, develop solution roadmaps, manage the delivery of business solutions portfolio and manage support of all business solutions.
The Business Solutions Manager is responsible for design and development and support for the follow areas:

  • Manufacturing shop floor solutions
  • Sourcing and supplier management systems
  • Supply chain management solutions
  • Distribution planning and order fulfillment

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Business Solution Manager focus breakdown:
  • Organization leadership and development ? 15%
  • Provide leadership and management oversight to a team of functional leads and business analysts.
  • Ensure the development of skills and processes to further enhance the organizationsâ?? capabilities
  • Establish strategies and roadmaps for supporting respective business area
  • Maintain an understanding of trends in information technology, system architecture, system development, project management, best practices and methods.
  • Business Partner Engagement â?? 40%
  • Develop strong partnering relationships with key stakeholders typically at the upper management levels within the Business
  • Proactively understand partnersâ?? business drivers and create alignment to a common set of goals that benefit the overall mission of the Business
  • Create strategic and tactical roadmaps identifying goals and drivers of stakeholder business
  • Communicate architecture strategy and delivery capabilities and be effective in managing expectations while demonstrating understanding of needs of business.
  • Take a lead role in facilitating business partnersâ?? strategies and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Solution Design 20%
  • Collaborate with business partners in identifying opportunities for, and implementation of, automated systems for complex business processes
  • Lead and/or participate in the development of overall business solutions designs including reengineering business processes, organization and application architecture.
  • Create and maintain application architectural vision, roadmap, guidelines, and standards.
  • Work closely with business partners to identify problems and requirements, and provide business solutions to support complex business processes
  • Research and analyze basic and complex issues surrounding the processes and systems of an organization.
  • Make solution recommendations for improving business processes and practices.
  • Solution Delivery ? 15%
  • Manage the delivery of the set of projects aligned to the strategic roadmap for a particular business area, providing expertise in managing projects to successful completion
  • Deliver against business case and specifications, vendor management, change management.
  • Solution Development & Support? 10%
  • Has overall responsibility for system development and/or interfaces including the installing, implementing, enhancing, and testing business application software
  • Ensure quality of support resources and processes are in place to maintain operational efficiency of the business systems and processes.
  • Has responsibility for new development efforts in context of business solution projects or support As needed, provide problem diagnosis and technical consulting on complex production issues.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership in resolving complex technical problems.

Education and Experience/Skills

  • The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field, and eight years of experience in designing, delivering, and developing business solutions with process and organization change.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering a portfolio of cross-functional business projects, with close leadership partnership.
  • The incumbent will be a demonstrated leader in strategy development, creative and critical thinking, business case development and achievement, and taking calculated risks.
  • In addition, business experience within the Supply Chain and/or Operations would be highly desirable.
  • Experience working within SAP is required.
