Job Description:-
- Data Warehouse Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the company Data Warehouse and all the processes supporting the acquisition of data.
- Will also be responsible for consulting on the design and architecture of new Data Warehouse Components/ Data Marts. Each team member is responsible for adhering to corporate standards for all data integration processes.
- Design and Develop Complex ETL Data Loading packages.
- Be escalation point for design, architecture, and development of Data Warehouse/Data Mart.
- Provide Production Support of the Data Warehouse as well as the ETL jobs used to support the Data Warehouse. This includes being an active member of the Point rotation as well as providing support to other team members that are covering point.
- This includes ETL jobs in SSIS as well as Informatica.
- Adhere to ETL/Data Warehouse/Data Mart/MDM development Best Practices.
- Ability to identify and resolve any performance and/or data related issues.
- Drive for and Create ETL architectural and development standards.
- Provide documentation (Data Mapping, Technical Specifications, Production Support, data dictionaries, test cases, etc.) for all projects.
- Ability to lead departmental development efforts - capturing knowledge capital, conducting internal training classes.
- Mentorship of team members.
- Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
- Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
- Adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.).
- Adhering to Bank policies and procedures.
- Completing required training.
- 7+ Years of in MS SQL Server Database Design/Development.
- 5+ Years of MS SSIS Experience.
- 7+ Years of Data Warehousing Experience.
- 5+ Years leading Data Warehouse projects.
- Experience with VLDB
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, IDQ and or MDM a plus.
- Advanced SQL Server database knowledge.
- Expert Microsoft SQL Development (T-SQL).
- Expert Microsoft SSIS Development (2005, 2008, 2012).
- Expert Enterprise ETL development (SSIS, Informatica, Ab Intio).
- Experience with .NET technology (VB.net, C#, ADO.net).
- Experience Implementing Enterprise Level Data Warehouses.
- Experience in Data Modeling.
- Understanding of Meta Data Management.
- Understanding of Master Data Management.
- Some knowledge of Data Quality Tools.
- Strong Understanding of Agile Data Warehouse Development.
- Advance knowledge of performance tuning related to ETL Development.
- Strong experience with Source Control (VSS, TFS, Subversion, etc.).
- Strong experience with SQL Server Management Studio & BIDS
- Strong Leadership, communication (verbal & written) and problem solving skills.
- Proven self starter.
- Problem Solver - ability to take complex business processes and provide unique solutions.
- Project team leadership experience.
- Results/Goal oriented.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and manage time efficiently.
- Have an understanding of Microsoft Analysis Services and the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack.
