Job description

  • The primary function of the Sales Application Engineer is to generate new business and ensure growth of existing accounts in assigned territories.Work in conjunction with our existing Sales organization, both internal and external.
  • Generate leads (potential customers) by various means, such as walking trade shows, targeting applicable industries, approaching current customers, etc.
  • Develop qualified leads into customer prospects.Assist customer prospects in the development of new product lines.
  • Provide engineering services to customer prospects so that new projects can progress through the prototyping, testing, and approval process.Design our products in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Perform design analysis of new and existing designs.Develop BOM (Bill of Materials) and corresponding costs.Work with customers to refine designs and provide cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
  • Work with the Production System in order to develop and optimize manufacturing methods and profitability, both in relation to customer prospects and current customers.
  • Maintain relationships with specific customer accounts.Provide customer support, both on and off site.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction from the initial design stages through order delivery.
  • Perform additional tasks as determined by the company
Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering or related 3-5 years minimum experience in varied engineering and sales experience 2D or 3D CAD experience Strong computer skills
  • specifically Microsoft Excel Willingness to work additional hours including nights and weekends (on a case-by-case basis as deemed necessary) Travel extensively by car
