Sybase / Perl Technical Data Developer Analyst

Role& Responsibilities:

TechnicalDeveloper to support successful execution of Capital Markets Operations andinitiatives. An ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate US securitiesregulatory expertise (order, transaction & position reporting rules) aswell as a proven track record in designing, development and implementation

Candidatewill be part of a team responsible for making changes to a trade warehouse usedfor regulatory reporting. Monthly sprints will make changes to historical andincoming data based on changing business requirements.

Financialexperience: Big bank middle office a plus, Knowledge of EBS Reports a big plus

TechnicalStack: Perl, Shell, Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, UNIX, Linux

 Perl -Create, maintain and debug Perl scriptswith DBI as part of a database centric batch

 Shell - Create, maintain and debug shellscripts as part of a database centric batch

 Database - Sybase ASE / Sybase IQ

 Create, maintain and debug stored procedures

 Perform on-demand data extracts based on userrequests

 Familiar with sub-select and multi table joinsin SELECT

 Familiar with UPDATE syntax (in place andtable based)

 Overnight batch support - At least 2-3 plusyears supporting an overnight batch.

There is nosupport requirement for this role but the candidate will be interacting withsupport team and making changes to an overnight batch.

 

Qualificationand Experience:

 Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent

 Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a TechnicalDeveloper (Sybase, Perl Developer)

 Strong analytical, logical and problem-solvingskills

 Excellent communication skills
