SQL Server DBA / Applications Administrator Loc:
- Indianapolis, INRegularly, you will be responsible to do the following: Provide systems administration of highly available, high transactional core business applications;Design, modify, and enhance reporting systems and methods through the use of Crystal Reports, SQL, SQL Report Services, Adobe Forms, and Excel;Work with product partners on potential coding, new development, and/or correcting current defects within systems using SQL, MS Visual Studio, and TFS;Analyze user requests by leveraging knowledge of the business systems, SQL queries, and other tools;Perform maintenance of existing SQL programs, SSIS packages, and create and modify stored procedures;Investigate user application issues and problem sources; own the implementation of possible solutions;Create and maintain business forms and labels using Adobe Forms designer and Bartender;Work with vendors to maintain our EDI system, troubleshoot, and process daily EDI transactions;Educate users on business applications and resolutions promptly and professionally;Create and maintain repeatable processes, participate in change control, and prepare required documentation;Test new releases of business applications and identify potential issues and advantages;Participate in the development, implementation, installation, and testing of applications software;Assist other departments as a computer systems/IT resource.
- Qualifications Bachelors Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline; or the equivalent professional experience in Microsoft SQL server/applications support2+ years experience with SQL Server Management Studio to create SQL queries, SSIS packages, stored procedures, and triggers in a Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008, or 2012 environment2+ years experience in report writing with SSRS, Crystal Reports, and/or similar applications2+ years experience supporting and maintaining business applications and systems administrationHands-on support experience on SQL 2005/2008/2012Experience with Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server and Active DirectoryProficiency with MS Visual StudioStrong analytical and problem-solving ability in evaluating end-user requirementsStrong written and oral communicationMCSE/DBA preferred
