  • The Information Technology Business Analyst will be a business partner with the plant management and team members to initiate and implement lean concepts within business processes utilizing JD Edwards World and other supporting systems.
  • The day-to-day effort of the Analyst personifies an IT culture that emphasizes quality, responsiveness, customer service, productivity, high standards and results.
  • The Analyst is responsible for partnering with team members throughout the company to deliver superior results.
  • The Analyst coordinates the delivery of IT services, policies and initiatives; ensuring IT policies and processes support the company\'s strategic objectives and are in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • The Analyst will also provide local IT technical support to all team members.
  • The position reports locally to the Plant Controller and corporately to the Director, Information Technology.
  • The position requires attention to detail and accuracy, high energy, forward thinking and the ability to adapt to changing business requirements while maintaining consistent and reliable IT solutions and services.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Work with plant management and team members to establish and enhance business processes within JD Edwards World and other supporting systems.
  • Establish work flows and procedures to support a lean manufacturing environment.Work with Director, Information Technology and business owners to establish challenging IT goals, plans and objectives that support the company\'s vision.Manage and maintain positive working relationships with IT solution and service providers.
  • Help the organization understand the capabilities of current IT resources and find ways to improve productivity and overall business performance.
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Define tasks and requirements to the appropriate level of detail to enable accurate and timely implementation.
  • Understand, interpret and enhance business owner requirements in order to deliver world class solutions.Install, test, troubleshoot, upgrade and maintain personal computers, local area networks and other IT related equipment.
  • Provide technical support to IT and non IT employees.
  • Perform operating system and/or application software updates in a timely and thoughtful fashion and in compliance with IT policies, procedures and plans.
  • Establish and support a positive work environment based on mutual respect, honesty, team work and continuous improvement.Maintain 24x7 availability to address critical business and/or IT situations.
  • Required Education And Experience4 year undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering or a similar quantitative discipline.Five to seven years experience of successful and progressive IT applications and/or business analyst experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
  • A minimum of three years JD Edwards World experience, preferably with the Manufacturing and/or Distribution applications.
  • Exposure to other supporting information technologies such as SCADA, conveyor/sortation control systems, LIMS, PLCs, bar coding and production scheduling is a plus.
  • Experience working with business owners and employees to help drive significant improvements in business performance.Successful track record in driving continuous improvement within an organization utilizing lean and six-sigma tools.

  • JD Edwards Enterprise One Distribution modules (EDI, Inventory, Sales Order Management and Purchase Order Management .
  • SQL or comparable database query tool.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once and prioritize accordingly.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand the users\' requirements and communicate them in an appropriate manner to development personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability in IT analysis methodologies (i.e. process flow definition, data flow diagramming, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, customers and other IT personnel.
  • Ability to lead effective meetings that are tailored to the audience.
  • Enterprise Report Writing (ERW) knowledge a plus.
