Title: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Irving, TX
- This nationwide leader in the Mortgage industry is looking for a 3+ month contract-to-hire Quality Assurance Analyst in Dallas, TX. Will be responsible for testing mortgage loan originations projects and bug fixes.
- Will review business, security, and compliance requirements, create test strategies and test plans traceable to those requirements, capture defects, and provide project-level and executive reporting.
- Will require the execution of various testing types such as functionality, error, regression, system, acceptance, and performance.
- Will also assist with User Acceptance Testing activities as well as post-implementation defect root cause analysis.
- Will review business requirements and technical specifications of current software development projects.
- Will convert business requirements and specifications into a QA test plans, cases and test scripts.
- Will execute test cases, report progress and document defects and other issues in a timely and accurate manner. Will conduct root cause analysis of identified defects providing Development/Business Analyst partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and prevent future occurrences the defect.
- Will document and enter test defect tickets discovered during the test cycle.
- Will follow up on outstanding issues to meet testing timelines.
- Will ensure that no defective products are moved to end user testing or production environments without stakeholder approval.
- Will identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- 6+ years of experience as a QA Analyst.
- 2+ years of mortgage loan origination experience.
- Strong ETL, Data warehousing and BI report testing knowledge.
- Advanced SQL Knowledge.
- Prior formal software testing experience a plus.
- College degree a plus.
