IT Support Specialist

Loc: Barrington, MA

The core duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage help desk ticketing queue (monitor and respond to help desk tickets as they are entered).
  • Support all laptop and desktop users (both locally and remotely).
  • Complete New Hire Requests (includes username, email, computer, and other devices as applicable).
  • Provide quality, timely support to the business community.
  • Assign tickets to other members of the IT department as necessary.
  • Use troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Manage Fog images for rapid workstation deployment.
  • Set up new users with company cell phones.
  • Conduct computer skill assessments for new hires.
  • Send out monthly IT Tips.
  • Maintain equipment inventory (workstations, printers, monitors, etc.).
  • Purchase IT equipment using appropriate requisitioning and approval process.
  • Tape backups (Backup Exec). Monitor antivirus server Install and administrate other software and applications as required.
  • Assist the System Administrator with: Cisco phone system Server updates/upgrades MS Exchange issues Infrastructure projects as assigned Microsoft Dynamics AX issues Microsoft Dynamics CRM issues
Required Skills
  • Minimum 2 years experience with workstation, network and systems support in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure. Detail oriented, professional and motivated self-starter.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
