Role: ETL Developer Lead - Architect Location: Austin, TX The ETL Developer Lead/Architect reports to the Manager and leads data integration, data transformation, and data services as well as ensures ETL Development resources are fully utilized. · Provide leadership for data integration, data transformation and data services work · Responsible for resource allocation processes and controls to ensure efficient use of ETL development resources for making progress on business critical and infrastructure/ process improvement projects. · Engage in and contribute in a senior level capacity to the development of technical solutions for DW and Business Intelligence Business Insights projects and initiatives. · Work in consultation with the management and team members to translate project goals into technical design and required ETL deliverables. · Collaborate with project analysts and data architect to create ETL high level and detail design & mapping specifications in line with established standards. Develop Informatica objects to meet the technical specification requirements. · Ensure required review and approval of all requirements, design docs, and Informatica objects. Conduct peer design and code review as needed. · Contribute as a senior developer and as lead responsible to ensure delivery of well designed, developed and tested ETL deliverables. · Provide support to QA analysts for ETL deliverables of responsibility. · Create and maintain adequate documentation of project ETL design, technical artifacts and ETL environment. · Conduct and provide oversight for administration and upgrades for the Informatica environments to ensure the development environment is maintained for required performance and functionality to meet the business needs. · Provide and ensure adequate on call support to data warehouse load cycle and that production issues are resolved in a timely fashion and requisite communication is made. · Periodically review and enhance design and development standards and practices as needed in consultation with the ETL team. · Review data services development environment and make recommendations for upgrades of tools/ technology as applicable. 6 years of ETL experience in design, development, monitor, performance tuning and support using Informatica ETL PowerCenter required · Experience in Oracle BI Applications 7.9.6.x , Oracle 11g, Unix, Linux, DAC required · 3-5 years skills in Unix/Linux scripting required · Professional communication and strong interpersonal skills with senior management and business clients required · Experience and well versed in SDLC process required · Experience in code promotion, versioning and production deployment required · Understanding of Data Models and Paradigms - Staging, EDW, Data Mart required · Expertise in dimensional data modeling, source system analysis, DAC, SQL, ETL load scheduling required · Proven experience acting as the liaison between the customer and development team to identify and deliver the most effective technology solution
